IPM 2017 Beautification Contest
We are excited to be delivering a contest involving rural and urban buildings as well as landscape competitions with an end result of renewed beautification to our lovely Huron County. This competition will encourage pride in our farms, our villages and our towns along with the shores of the West Coast of Ontario in Huron County. Details about how to get involved are posted here.
Launching a Huron County Barn Quilt Trail for IPM 2017
As Huron County prepares to host the 100th IPM in Canada’s 150th Birthday year, the Beautification Competition Committee is trying something new! IPM 2017 will be encouraging home owners in Huron County to create and hang barn quilts as part of the beautification process as we approach IPM 2017. Find out more here.

The Huron County IPM 2017 Quilt Competition is a great opportunity to showcase your quilting skills to a large and enthusiastic audience. The Quilt Competition is open to all. The 15 categories offer something for every taste, technique and ability.

We have committees and positions for almost every interest---from horse and tractor plowing, to Tented City, antiques, entertainment, marketing, quilting, RV Park, wagon tours, landscaping and beautification, sponsorship, parking & traffic, and education. 40 locations for $15.
IPM Cross Country Convoy on September 25
To kick off the 100th IPM and celebrate ‘one–year away,’ the IPM 2017 Entertainment Committee organized an IPM Cross County Convoy on September 25, the Sunday following IPM 2016 in Wellington County. More than 35 tractors travelled from the IPM 2016 Match Site to the Brussels Arena (a total of 51 km). Following their arrival, there was a Harvest Dinner and an Entertainment Show.
The Flag Has Been Passed From IPM 2016 to IPM 2017
During the Closing Ceremonies on September 24, Ron Faulkner, Chair of IPM 2016, passed the OPA flag to Chair of IPM 2017, Jacquie Bishop symbolizing the end of IPM 2016 and the start of the campaign for IPM 2017 to be held next September in Walton, Ontario. Accompanying Jacquie is Huron County Warden Paul Gowing and accompanying Ron is Wellington County Warden George Bridge.
