2017 BM0 Farm Family Awards

   OntarioFarmFamilyAwards Colour-250
Nominations are now closed for the 2017 BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards

These awards recognize outstanding families from across Ontario who best represent the values of the family farm within their rural communities. The awards will show appreciation for the contributions each of these families make to the further growth of the agricultural community. The awards program was created to promote a renewed urban-rural relationship and to recognize outstanding Ontario farm families who best typify the value of the family farmer to our society. The program, specifically, focuses on recognizing the contribution these families make to the enhancement of quality of life in their agricultural communities. Families nominated must be active in primary agriculture, have agriculture as the main source of income and have members residing on the farm. They do not have to be members of the Ontario Plowmen’s Association (OPA).

BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards Nominations can be made by anyone for anyone! You do not have to be associated with the OPA or reside in the same county as the nominee to make a nomination.

Ten families will be chosen to recieve the 2017 BMO Ontario Farm Family Award. The honoured families will be formally recognized for their dedication to Ontario's agriculture sector and the rural way of life at the 2017 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Walton, Ontario, on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
